Okay not all habits are bad habits. So so there is no use in breaking a habit that is good now is there?

Unlike good habits which strengthen us, bad habits break us even if we think they are doing us good.

Take cigarettes for example. I know a lot of people that smoke and they are convinced that smoking calms them, supresses their appetite and a whole lot of other insane excuses.

Now I used to smoke too and drink loads of coffee and eat chocolate. And not just a little.

I really wanted to learn all about breaking a habit but some how couldn’t do it.

I discovered that a habit is just a thing I believed I needed. Sure there are addictions, nicotine, java and chocolate are addictive. But strangely enough when I stopped believing I needed them I stopped craving them.

How did I do this?

I’ll be honest the cigarette thing I stopped just like that. I found the button in my brain and clicked it.

It all happened one night whilst i was working and ran out of cigarettes. And it was cold too. Feeling irritated with myself for having this habit, whilst searching for my car keys, putting on a coat and thinking about which store would still be open it just dawned on me that nobody was making me do this. I was doing this to myself. So I stopped. Right there and then. Never smoked a cigarette again. That was over 10 years ago.

With the coffee and chocolate thing that was another story. Because even though I’m over the coffee I’m still a sucker for chocolate. I have it under control but I’m not chocolate free. But I’ve switched over to raw chocolate – no diary. The diary thing about the chocolate was bugging me because I’m not into diary products. And chocolate is in my opinion a diary product.

But I’m waffling. The truth is I’m the kind of person that isn’t afraid to ask for help. I either go looking for a product or I ask and say, “Help me please”.

A while back I found Mike Brescia’s Think Right Now website. I browsed his site – I was my usual cynical self when I read all about how the things you tell yourself influence your behaviour. And gasp I wasn’t even aware of the stuff I tell myself but what the heck. I bought a couple of his CD’ds and well seriously, I did think it was cheesy listening to affirmation CD’s. But I did it anyway and began to see some hard core habits dissolve and new positive ones emerge. And truth is whilst I was browsing his website i did think that some of the CD’s were silly. And what if some one sees this stuff or knows what I’m listening to on my mp3 player?

I figured I’d rather listen to cheesy CD’s and be happy with myself than continue with habits which were bugging the daylights out of me but somehow I had no power to stop.

So I think I can self assuredly say breaking a habit is easy. Just get yourself help. You know what they say, God only helps those that help themselves.

Thanks for reading.

I don’t know about you but I certainly have had intense moments of fear in my life.

Sometimes the fear has been more sort of a self induced anxiety than actual fear of danger.  Fear in it’s self is not a bad thing because it helps us to survive. If we didn’t have fear we would expose ourselves to really dangerous situations that can lead to death or severe bodily harm.

Anyway watch Dr. Duckett give his take on fear. I enjoy his approach. So many of the so called feel good gurus  have a esoteric approach which makes things hard to understand and get a grip on.

Seems like ultimately every body wants the same thing – to be happy.

But very few are.

Every body has some lame excuse as to when they’ll be happy.

I have to ask what’s stopping folks from being happy right now in this minute just because…

I used to live the blues man, each and every day and not only thatI would listen to them to reaffirm to myself how blue I am. God was that awful.

Some how I woke up.

I realised happiness is a state of mind.

No use in crying over yesterday or worrying about tomorrow because tomorrow never comes.

Sure there are things in life which can sadden and upset you but that’s no excuse for living in permanet misery.

Ultimately you just become a victim of circumstances.

Here’s my list of how to get happy:

Just Do
Don’t worry about any one or any thing – this obviously does not mean be irresponsible and over draw your credit card. It means there’s no more excuse for not doing what you want to do. I find starting out small is a good way to go.

Just Be
Stop berating yourself and feel the power of your beingness. Sit still for 20 minutes and contemplate your existence.

Just Let Go
No use hanging onto anxiety, tension or any thing like that because it just frazzles you and doesn’t change anything about the current situation.

Just Go for a Walk
When things get really icky for me I find going for a walk and listening to the birds brings peace to me. The exercise gets the blood flowing and fresh air into the lungs. Air always makes me feel connected. Think about – every single one of us is breathing the same air.

Just Distract from The Bad Feeling
Some people may think this is a cop out but i find if I’m feeling like I’m about to get sucked into a bad feeling place I do some thing that makes me feel good. It’s no use allowing that bad feeling to hold onto you because nothing changes any way.

Just Define what You Want
Most people are so miserable because they don’t know what they want. They think they know what they want which is different to knowing what you want. If you don’t know what you want they don’t be surprised if you get anything dished out to you.Be realistic most people say they want to win the lottery or something ridiculous but then why do they loose all their money within 10 years?

Just Find Something to be Happy About.
Find anything that makes you feel happy – doesn’t matter how small. Could be your cat doing something silly. Focus in on that and enjoy the moment.

Just Stop Being Programmed
Stop watching crap on TV. That stuff has been designed to keep you miserable. The government and corporations can only control unhappy people by promising them things they think will make them happy. Watch uplifting movies and read uplifting books.

Just Give without Expectation
If you do something because you expect something in return you’re setting yourself up for unhappiness. If for example you want to give a gift to soembody don’t expect them to say thanks. Because if you do they might not say thanks and you’ll have lost the joy in giving. So only give something when you really want to, be it money, time or what ever.
This is not to be confused with having no vision of what you want. I’m just saying don’t expect the actions of other people to get you what you want.

Recommendation of the Day:
The Science of Being Well

I’m currently involved with helping the famous Dr. Alexandra Gayek develop her Science of Being Well for Practical Genuises Course.
I want to tell you that this course is very intensive. Because of this course I’ve had to take a serious look at who I am, what I am and if I’ve been really true to myself.
I can only say that if you are want to get connected to your higher self, bigger self, greater self, divine intelligence, cosmic connection or what ever you choose to call it then this course is for you.
This course is not for people who think they know it all.  In this course the good Dr. talks about finding peace within. She explains how sickness is manifested by not being connected to your higher self.
I don’t know when the course will officially be released to the public but I do know that in the meanwhile you can pick up a free copy of the Science of Being Well and partake in the forums and sign up for the free ezine.

To have a chocolate health experience switch from commercial chocolate to pure raw chocolate. Seriously if you’re concerned about chocolate having any health effects then consider for a moment that the actual cocoa bean has it’s perks but the added ingredients like cow’s milk and refined sugar cancel out the so called chocolate health benefits.

Contrary to popular belief cows milk is not healthy for people, let alone mixing it with sugar and cocoa beans that have been destroyed of their original contents. Antioxidants in cocoa beans have a positive effect but that is all. You will not find those effects in commercial chocolate. The main ingredient in commercial chocolate is cows’ milk.

It makes sense because if you think about it humans are the only ones that drink milk from some one else. Baby pigs drink pigs milk from their pig mothers. Monkeys drink monkey milk from their monkey mothers and every other animal drinks its mother’s milk. Only humans have the notion that mothers cow milk is good for them. Tons of cows milk is used to produce chocolate.

I’m one of those people that loves chocolate but at the same time I have a health awareness. So realising that commercial chocolate deposits slug into my body I had to find an alternative. Have you ever thought about what your body has to go through to digest cow’s milk, mixed with refined sugar? Uuuugghhh….doesn’t surprise me that people have so many ailments considering what they put into their bodies.

But fear not you can still eat chocolate, but get the pure and unadulterated raw chocolate.

Huh! You mean you never even knew there was such a thing?

You’re about to learn some thing new.

Let’s take a quick look at the difference of cooked cocoa powder and raw cocoa powder which is the essential ingredient in chocolatey things.

Producers use different ORAC units in their marketing, which result in confusion when one is comparing one ORAC score to another.

ORAC simply means Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity

An example to illustrating a popular confusion: both dark cocoa powder and the goji berry (the goji berry is a superfood from China) are high on the ORAC scale. Natural cocoa powder pinnacles the list with a score of 26,000. The goji berry rates mightily, with a score frequently found on the internet of 25,300. But what is creating confusion amongst end users is that the cocoa powder and the goji ORAC ratings are for 100 grams! That’s more than an average serving. If you calculate the ORAC units per gram you quickly see that dark cocoa powder is at 260 and goji is 253.

Not bad, but that’s nothing compared to the gigantic 955 ORAC Units found in each gram of raw organic cacao powder!

WOW – isn’t that fantastic? Tha’s real proof that real chocolate is a health booster!

Do the math – the raw variant contains 367% more antioxidants than the ultimate cooked version – no better proof than that! The same 100 gram scale as above, Raw Organic Cacao Powder has 95,500 ORAC units in contrast to the 26,000 in the roasted cocoa powder.

So go ahead and sin!

I purchase my chocolate health products from Raw Food World

Would you believe there are a whole lot of chocolate health benefits growing on trees right now? The sought after cocoa bean which is indigenous to Africa and South America should be eaten in it’s naked raw form for the ultimate chocolate experience.

The taste is quite heavenly. I’m talking about the real thing which comes from the cocao plant , pronounced kuhkow and not cocoa. We are all familiar with the commercial chocolate made from roasted cacao beans. Actually the cacao bean is one of nature’s most powerful foods.

The typical cocoa which we use for baking, or use in chocolate fondue recipes has been defatted and treated with chemicals and alkaline salts.

So lets take a squizz at raw chocolate health ingredients:

Raw cocoa is abundant in flavanoids. What the heck is a flavanoid you be asking now. No it’s not an added flavorant , it’s a class of phyto chemicals called polyphenols. Thousands of flavanoids exist in ample amounts in plant based foods. Latest studies reveal that some flavanoids protect from certain diseases, especially heart diseases.

Potent antioxidants – more than in red wine, We all know that sipping too much red wine can get you into trouble! So rather nibble on chocolate. Antoxidants significantly reduce the risk of heart attack.

Copper- a lot of women have a copper deficiency. A good source of copper is in liver. Yuck – I’d rather eat chocolate.

Phenylethylamine followed closely by theobromo which is the magic ingredient of lifting depressions.

Raw chocolate also has small amounts of straight caffeine, great for a little lift me up snack.

Magnesium which is also credited for giving one those euphoric feelings when eating chocolate. If you’re a woman then take note that magnesium levels drop during menstruation so it’s a good time to tuck into chocolate.

Serotonin and tyramine are also in raw chocolate, which have a gentle calming effect.

So when you get the blues eat chocolate – no wonder it’s called a comfort food because it has exactly that ability – to comfort. But I must warn you dear reader that only raw chocolate has these chocolate health qualities. If commercial chocolate lures you and you like to munch a lot of it, then don’t expect to have to have these astounding chocolate health affects.

Raw chocolate fondue recipe

Half a cup of almond butter
Half a cup of raw cocoa nibs
1 cup of agave nectar
Inch of a vanilla bean
Half a teaspoon of salt

First mix the almond butter and raw cocoa nibs together. Hand mixing works just fine.
Then add the agave nectar.
Cut the inch of vanilla bean length ways and scrape out the seeds.
Add the vanilla and salt.
Fold into the mixture and keep mixing till you have a creamy consistency.

Strawberries and other fruit chunks can de dipped into the divine chocolate mixture.
Great fun for the family – and radiate in a chocolate health aura!

Stop anxiety by putting an end to those nasty feelings that creep up on you and turn you into mush.

If you’ve suffered anxiety for years or even decades, you know that it takes only a fleeting thought to throw you into the anxiety pits.

Folks with anxiety symptoms operate on low batteries which don’t seem to be chargeable. Common if you’re an anxious type you know exactly what I mean. That crummy feeling of being strangulated is not what I call exhilarating.

You need to stop anxiety some how.

What can you do?

Visit a Dr. on a regular basis who goes over your past till you’re so tense with anxiety that you die a painful death each time you’re on the couch. Never mind the anxiety earned cash you’re paying to go through the torture.

Get a prescription for feel good drugs which leave you numb in other areas .

Infiltrate new thoughts into your cerebral area.

Personally I prefer the last option to stop anxiety. It’s not an overnight process but by monitoring your thoughts it can be done. Monitoring thoughts requires some discipline but is well worth it because it ensures genuine change from the inside out.

Affirm new statements into your soul and mind. Tell yourself uplifting things like, “I’m free of imprisoning thoughts.”

Now you may be accusing me of positive thinking woo woo stuff which never got you any where. You’ve read all the silly literature about comforting your inner child and you still feel tense. Well that’s because just reading about it won’t help. You have to genuinely want to change and then take some sort of action. And changing your thoughts is an action. It’s enough action to change a whole lot of conditions.

Easier said than done?

Yes. You can record yourself affirming the things you’d like and hear your own voice telling you all is fine. Or even better get a CD of statements that have been recorded professionally and played over a background of relaxing music using binaural beats to get the message home. It may seem like woo woo nonsense but I promise it works because all anxiety originates in your cerebral area. That’s all it is. Thinking about your anxiety will only worsen things and make you more anxious.

You can stop anxiety and you should stop anxiety so you can have a life.

Think Right Now! Accelerated Success

Never let is be said that faith doesn’t work.

It does if you let it.

Let me tell you about Princess and Charly my pet rabbits.

Princess and Charly came to live with me after living in a small cage and being pretty much ignored by their owners.

The first thing I did was release them into a big pen so that they could hop and do rabbit things.

Then somebody I know told me you can let rabbits hop in the garden, they know where “home” is after they’ve settled in for about 6 weeks.

It was a pleasure to watch these two hippty hop around the garden, grazing grass just like sheep do.

One morning I went into the pen to let them out, like I do every day and Princess came to my feet which was very unusual as normally you couldn’t catch them.

I picked her up and to my horror I discovered that she was being eaten alive by maggots. It was not a pretty site.

What amazed me is thatI hadn’t noticed earlier due to her doing rabbit stuff until she was completely drained of energy.

I took her to the vet where I was told she had little survival chance.

The vet put her to sleep when writing with kind words. In truth I made the decision to take her life.

Princess was not used to freedom and even worse she was not accustomed to eating green food. Her body reacted with diarrea. In warm weather flys come and lay their eggs on the feces which is still sticking to the fur. The eggs hatch and the maggots eat their way into the rabbit.

You can be sure that this is ghastly to see.

Anyway after having put an end to Princess and feeling guilty about my lack of faith I discovered that Charly also had rectal bleeding and was loosing his fur.

Off I ran to the vet again who gave injections and medication.

But it didn’t help, the bleeding got worse.

Feeling desperate I just decided to see Charly getting better.

I thanked God for his healing and firmly stuck to my faith.

Slowly after about a week, the bleeding got less, the fur grew back and Charly got wilder!

Now Charly lives in my garden like a field rabbit and is very healthy.

I didn’t give up, every time I saw him ill, in my minds eye I saw him perfect and at the same time I thanked God for his healing.

Call it what ever you will. I call it God helping when I asked. And then trusting that the healing will happen.

In real life Mr. Bean is played by Rowan Atkins. He plays Mr. Bean with such passion he is Mr. Bean.

I wonder if in private Mr. Atkins is surly and wears a stylish black suit?

My cherry tree is over loaded with gorgeous cherrys.

Eating them fresh off the tree is the greatest. Yesterday my friend was here and we had a wonderful day standing under the tree, popping cherrys into our mouths and at the same time talking about God and opportunity.

As you know there is tons of opportunity out there. It just depends where you are looking or if you’re even able to see it.

The other advantage of eating cherrys is that they are vitamin bombs.

Want to get all fresh, inspired and sexy?

Eat a bowl of cherrys. Or even better just eat them fresh off the tree!
